DESCRIPTION

Red Jalapeño Salt is a citrus-driven finishing salt with a clean, balanced chili heat. Built on a medium-grain salt base, it combines lime components with red jalapeño and bell pepper to create a bright and versatile seasoning.

Lime provides sharp acidity and aromatic lift, while red jalapeño introduces a controlled, vegetal heat. Red bell pepper softens the blend with subtle sweetness and adds body without overpowering the citrus profile. Celery seed contributes a light savory undertone that enhances complexity without shifting the blend into a fully savory profile.

This salt is designed for applications where clarity of flavor is important, making it especially effective for tequila, mezcal, and gin-based cocktails, as well as light seafood and fresh vegetable preparations.

Red Jalapeño (seedless) — 10 g
Dried Red Bell Pepper — 30 g (combined total)
Whole Dried Lime — 20 g
Dried Lime Pulp — 20 g
Celery seeds — 5 g

6–8 months (heat and citrus intensity gradually soften)

METHOD

Ensure all ingredients are fully dehydrated before processing.

Grind citrus and peppers separately to control texture.

Deseed jalapeños before grinding to moderate bitterness and heat.

Lightly crush celery seeds prior to blending.

Combine all ingredients with medium-grain salt and mix thoroughly.

Maintain a medium-coarse crystalline texture with visible citrus and pepper fragments.
