Founded by Renato Osoy, a Guatemalan-born visual artist and Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, Culinary Collector Journals are the product of a lifelong passion for collecting meals as mementos and celebrating food, cultural exploration, and creativity as essential ingredients for a fulfilling life.

Renato studied cuisine in Barcelona, specializing in Mediterranean gastronomy, and worked in restaurants across Europe, North America, and Central America. His experience as a chef, restaurant manager, and traveler led him to develop a deep respect for tradition and innovation, seeing them as two sides of the same creative journey.

As a visual artist and a chef, he sees cooking as a creative conversation: the kitchen as a space for transformation and the table as the stage for storytelling. He brings these perspectives together with the Culinary Collector Journals, offering a tangible, inspiring space for cooks to document their journey—one page, one experiment, one dish at a time.
